Class 3

Welcome to Class 3!

In Class 3 you will find Mr Olver and 14 pupils from Year 3 and 4.

Mrs Middleton will be helping the children to develop their musical skills through the Love Music Trust on a Thursday afternoon when they will be learning to play a brass instrument. Mrs Hague will be teaching RE, also on Thursday. 

Throughout this term we will be learning about 'The Human Body' in Science and will be making our own 'bionic hands'! Very exciting! 

In Geography we are learning about Antarctica and what it would be like to live and work there. We will also learn about Shackleton and all of his adventures and discoveries.

Maths this term will include the topics of Place Value, Addition and Subtraction and Multiplication and Division.

In English, we are going to be reading 'The Wisp' and our class story this term will be 'Krindlekrax' by Philip Ridley.

In PE this term, we will be developing our skills in football, indoor athletics and dance. 

Maths homework will be sent home on a Wednesday and should be returned on a Friday. English homework will be set on a Friday and will be returned the following Tuesday.  We also strongly encourage the children to regularly access Timestable Rockstars to help develop their understanding of their tables. Over the course of the year there will be 'Rock Battles' within our class and also against other classes in school.
